Inflation Release in June 2019 and GRDP of Malang Municipality in 2018

July 1, 2019 in the Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of the Malang Municipality BPS Office, the release of Inflation in June 2019 and the GRDP of Malang Municipality was carried out in 2018. The release was led by the Head of BPS of Malang Municipality Drs. Sunaryo, M.Sc. In June Malang Municipality experienced deflation of - 0.17 percent. The biggest share of deflation is the decline in the price of air transport commodities by -3.90 percent. The decline contributed a share of -0.1150 percent. In addition, the decline in the price of Garlic, chicken meat, chicken eggs and shallots contributes to deflation. Whereas chili, gold jewelery, train tariffs, sugar sand is a commodity that keeps the pace of delfation in June. Throughout January to June calendar inflation in Malang Municipality reached 1.10 percent. In contrast to Malang Municipality , East Java experienced inflation of 0.13% in June, while calendar inflation reached 2.40%.

The economic growth of Malang Municipality in 2018 reached 5.72 percent, faster than in 2018 at 5.69 percent. The highest growth occurred in the Company's Services business field of 7.84 percent. Next Health Services experienced a growth of 7.32 percent followed by Real estate at 7.01 percent. However, the highest contribution to growth of 5.72 percent was contributed by Trade activities of 1.72 percent1.32 percent, respectively Processing Industry at 1.32 percent and construction of 0.74 percent. The economy of Malang Municipality is dominated by trade activities of 29.91 percent, processing industry 25.38 percent and construction of 12.73 percent. The GDP of Malang Municipality in 2018 reaches Rp. 67.93 trillion while on the basis of constant prices reaching Rp. 49.50 percent.
